I LOVE falsies. That’s a fact, but what most fashionistas don’t know is just how much work goes into getting luxurious lashes. The reality is that if you want to have lashes like those on the eyes of runway models, or cover girls you’ll probably poke an eye out. All joking aside, I have applied probably hundreds of sets of false eyelashes in my time, and I have experienced all types of pain, and frustration doing it. The worst of it I’ll have to say is when I slip up with the sticky glue adhesive, and get a little bit onto my eyelid. That’s when I have to remove the false lash, and then try to re-apply it. Usually, this means I also have to tug little pieces of my natural lashes off, or even tear my skin. Once I finally reached my limit of frustration with applying store-bought false lashes at home, I decided to try one of those ultra-posh lash salons, and get a full set of professionally applied falsies. That was an amazing experience (aside from sitting motionless for hours), but the bottom line on lash salons is that lash specialists are expensive! I love glam lashes, but I cannot afford to have a professional lash specialist apply lash extensions for me every week. Just the initial sitting cost about $150.00, and then to get them maintained (which is called a fill), I have to spend an additional $50.00. And what’s worse is that I still suffered with irritations to my eye, and the delicate skin around my eyes because of the glue used to stick each lash on. I actually found out a little later, after doing some digging online that even at the expensive eyelash extension salon that I went to used glue that contained a toxic ingredient called formaldehyde. This is pretty common actually, and I even found a study online that confirmed my worst fear - this toxic ingredient can be found in MOST fake eyelash glue adhesives! Not only that, but this ingredient was found to cause a variety of disorders to the eye including chronic inflammation, allergies, and hemorrhaging in clinical studies.1 That’s When I Found One Two Lash Magnetic Lashes!
